ALL ASHORE WHO'S GOING ASHORE

*Once the foundation was in place, close to the unnamed planet's orbit, the investigation team was moved to the Elsa so they could launch their ESes from a shorter distance. As they moved from the dock, MOMO took the role of briefing the situation over ES transmission.*

Our craft are currently in data collection mode. Since this planet was recently formed and is still uncharted, our job is to gather data for the UMN, Second Miltia, and the Kukai Foundation. All transmissions and video monitoring are direct linked to the Durandal's mainframe data transfer. So everything we do and see will be monitored for this trip.

*Jin blinked and stepped forward.*

...Orihime...please do not worry. We will be fine...I should have expected resistance from some faction. I... just pray that you and the others do not regret your decision to follow me here. I do not think things have changed much on the surface. The trials will be much the same as they were before. It will be ok, Orihime.

*She shook her head* Everyone wanted to help Manager san... Even Kurosaki kun.. If Manager san says it will be ok, I believe it.. And everyone will do their best to help!

AHahaha yes... *Jin placed a hand on her shoulder.*

I am thankful for such offers. I am counting on all of you. Thank you Orihime...would you pass on my sentiments to the others? I am afraid the battle has left me with other things I must attend to.

*She nodded, smiling up at him* I will!

*Jin nodded and pat her shoulder before heading out of the room and back to the maintenance dock. There...he began a letter to Pellegri. It was against his better judgment but he felt she should know at least what had transpired. He related the colonel's condition and apparent loss of control and the insinuated information that may be in her possession. He didn't ask for it however...and rather then sending it right away he stared for a long....long.....long time at the command button.*

*It took some time for him to receive a reply.. But after some emoing of her own, she sent it.*

Jin, I have witnessed.. What happened, while with the staff, and I have explained.. But..

Are you busy now? This communication method is not preferred.

*Jin twitched and looked down to his communicator reading the reply over.*

No the repairs are not yet complete. I have time.

Then.. the park? It would be easier to speak without interruption ~~from Emeralda. >_>~~

I will be right over.

*And so he left quickly slipping from the maintenance shop and back toward the park. He didn't rush right over despite the anxiety growing in his chest.*

*It wouldn't take long for Pellegri to round of her greenhead mutant, and steer her toward the park. And after giving a strict set of rules, such as not consuming or altering the composition of anything in the park, she stared out the window quietly, leaving the girl to play*

...Pellegri?

*Jin approached stopping a few feet behind her.*

*She would settle for holding conversations with the realians that consisted of swaying and stating her love for cereal.*

*WELL, that works. Pellegri didn't turn from the window as he approached. She just continued to stare outside* Jin..

*He was silent for a long time before taking another step.* I... *Jin shook his head uncertain what to say...*

Jin.. I did not.. withhold information purposefully.. It is something I did not wish to think about.

But even so, there is not much of relevance that I was even given. That planet is being controlled.. To what end, I do not know. I do not even know who it really is. But Margulis, and my former organization serve this master blindly. I was slowly pushed away because of my doubt.

*He listened to her words feeling the sick realization set in like lead bearings in his stomach.*

......It is no different then before. Pellegri I am...truly sorry.

*She turned to face him finally, but kept her eyes downward* I did not want to bring about the destruction of innocent lives. But I am weak. I could do nothing.. I couldn't stand against him.

Margulis managed to recover the Y data without that realian girl. But there was no Miltia to unseal. I thought he wanted the zohar.. That may be the case, but I do not believe he knows it's location.. Or maybe it does not exist in this world.

...Pellegri... You are not weak...it took strength to continue and now you...are stopping the destruction of innocent lives.

I do not think he knows what lies on the planet either. There...was also a brief moment where it seemed Margulis...

It was uncharacteristic of him to sound remotely anxious....I believe he was attempting to warn me.

If you wish to come also...if you need to...I would not mind.

Yes.. It was like that before as well. There is something happening to him. At times, it seemed he remembered nothing of before.. And other times, he was different.

*She shook her head* I am not sure what I could do.. I do not even have my craft anymore.

*Jin fell silent again. He took another step forward standing beside her now and staring down at the planet.*

......I will....get to the bottom of this Pellegri...you have my word.

*She crossed her arms, and stared out as well. When she spoke again, it was very quiet.*

..Thank you.. Jin.

......*Jin nodded bowing his head in thought.*

*Pellegri had been content to lose herself in thought as well, until she realized she was receiving a message.. She produced her console quickly and read through*

I am being summoned to the bridge..
